The Espiritu Santo Islands are made up of a group of five islands - two large (Espiritu Santo and La Partida) and three small (La Ballena, El Gallo and La Gallina) islands. Located only 25 km from the beautiful city of La Paz, this natural sanctuary provides the ultimate in outdoor recreational fun. La Paz is one of the most beautiful places for snorkeling and diving in the Sea of Cortez. It has come to be well known due to dive sites around the islands that form part of the bay. Espiritu Santo is considered one of the most interesting sites. La Paz’s dive sites include many interesting geologic and natural points of interest. Marine mountains such as El Bajo are recommended for experienced divers. Cabo Pulmo is a gorgeous natural reef very close to La Paz and offers snorkeling and diving for all levels.
